The 1956 Olympic games were the catalyst for the entry of Wm. Loud Aust Pty. Ltd. Into the field of Athletics.

It represented a logical extension to the core business of civil and asphalt construction.

Since the construction of the 1956 Olympic Park track Wm. Loud (Aust) Pty. Ltd. has successfully completed a large number of running track constructions and rejuvenations as well as countless Athletics run-ups and smaller areas for schools and community groups.

Over the past 40 years Wm. Loud has continued to be a leader and innovator in athletic track construction and maintenance.

In more recent times Wm. Loud has been involved in a large number of running tracks, including

• Melbourne University - full construction & surfacing of Spurtan BV athletics track and full construction of hockey pitch
• Caulfield - Duncan MacKinnon Reserve
• Maroondah - full construction - Bill Sewart Athletics Track.
• Frankston - Ballam Park athletics track
• Scotch College - long jump run up construction

Wm. Loud has a number of systems available, including Spurtan, Rekortan and are more than willing to offer their extensive range of expertise to prospective clients.
