In 2007 the expertise of Wm. Loud (Aust.) Pty Ltd in tennis court construction and surfacing was recognized with our appointment to reconstruct and then resurface all of the courts at Melbourne Park the home of the Australian open, and also at the Albert Park Tennis Centre.

We have also been appointed the Official surface supplier to the Australian Open series of events using the Plexicushion range of products.

All of the courts at Melbourne Park were rebuilt which involved removing the existing surface, moving drainage, renewing fencing, reasphalting and generally upgrading all of the courts. All of this work was undertaken by Wm. Loud (Aust.) Pty Ltd.

Prior to our appointment, tennis Australia undertook a vigorous and exhausting process to determine the surface that they would use for the Australian Open from 2008 onwards as well as the surface they wished to use as their national surface for coaching the next group of Australian champions.

 The Plexicushion Prestige surface was recognised as that surface.
