Wm. Loud (Aust) Pty Ltd was established in 1874 and has been involved in civil construction works ever since. We later commenced the installation of synthetic outdoor sports facilities for athletics and games courts. This enabled us to offer complete projects to councils, schools and clubs.

Wm. Loud (Aust) Pty Ltd undertakes a variety of civil projects, including driveways and roadways, carparks, heavy duty hardstands, school playgrounds, and a whole range of sports pavements from tennis courts to athletics tracks and hockey fields.

Wm. Loud has a reputation for high quality surface finishes required for sports and athletics. This was demonstrated when Melbourne and Olympic Parks chose Wm. Loud to reconstruct Rod Laver Arena centre court in 2004. These extensive works were completed on time and conformed to the exacting standards required.

We were so successful in this project in 2007 when Tennis Australia elected to change the Australian open surface to Plexicushion Prestige Wm. Loud was appointed by Melbourne and Olympic Park Trust to undertake the removal of the existing surface and the complete the refurbishment of all 30 courts. This involved total reconstruction, drainage, asphalt, fencing, and finally surfacing the courts prior to the 2008 Australian Open.

The fact that this project was completed on time and on budget is a testament to the professionalism and capability of Wm. Loud (Aust.) Pty Ltd and our staff.

We operate our own asphalt paving machine and crew, and a full range of plant and equipment.
